New Climate-Controlled Lapping Hall

We have extended our capacity up to 50 % by completing our climate-controlled lapping hall in the summer of 2015. Components weighting 25 tons with a maximum width of 4 meters can be manufactured in our 600 m2 hall, whereby accuracy in the μm-range is the rule. Climate control guarantees a temperature fluctuation less than 0.1 °C 24-hour.

Sustainability, energy efficiency and environmental friendliness was taken into consideration in every construction phase. The new lapping and manufacturing hall, which was built in the passive house style, shows that functionality and design don’t need to be contradictory.

Calibration Laboratory for 25 Years

We have been an accredited calibration laboratory for the measurands straightness, evenness and perpendicularity for 25 years now. The traceability of our measurement results, according to the national measurement standard, represents a building block for high standard, consistent and reproducible product quality.

Machinery

We rely on new as well as refitted machines for the manufacturing process. We can work on large components (maximum length 10 m) clamped on 5 sides on a modernized machine. When we were refitting the machine tool, which can now be used for grinding, drilling and milling, we couldn’t help but manufacture the crossbeam out of granite.

Solid Craftsmanship

Our key to success is our staff. Internal training allows us to pass rich experience of generations to employees and solid craftsmanship guarantees a successful future. About 10 % of our staff are trainees, who after graduating, are employed on our plant in a position which matches their personal skills and interests. The aim of our family business is to manufacture technical products of high quality in a human environment.

History

1926: Rudolf Oelze sets up a company for woodworking machines and carpentry supplies hence laying the foundation of today´s company for precision measuring tools, OELZE Präzisions-Messzeugfabrik GmbH.

1950s: Wilhelm OELZE takes charge of the company. Measuring machines are made of metal and a new line of production is developed: tools for scribing and aligning.

1960s: A new material is now part of the production range. The first tabletops for measuring tables are made of Swedish hard rock.

1980-98: The company is continuously growing under head Rolf Oelze.

1998: Reinhilde Oelze takes over the management.

2005: Lars Oelze continues the tradition of the family business with innovative ideas.

Today Oelze’s precision measuring tools can fulfill the most pretentious measuring requirements in rock and in addition to a wide range of standard products, Oelze offers customer-specific hard rock components in highest quality.

Lars Oelze, fourth generation CEO:
In the end, the values of our family business have not changed in the course of time: our defined goal remains to manufacture technical products of high quality in a humane environment.
